Congratulations to Ozan Gulbudak!
Great job Ozan! The department congratulates you on the successful defense of your dissertation, "Finite Control Set Model Predictive Control of Direct Matrix Converter and Dual-Output Power Converters." Ozan addressed the drawbacks of finite control set model predictive control method. His research results in that execution time for real-time implementation of MPC is significantly reduced by using FPGA devices, switching state elimination technique can control multiple control objectives without using weighting factors, and dual-output power converters are controlled using single control loop by solving multi-objective optimization problem.
